What really disheartened me was Shelldragon’s comment on how the sole owner and programmer doesn’t even read the blog, and how he’s too involved in his next project to be concerned with Charlie Murder. There’s nothing i could say on the issue that hasn’t been said already. I was going to comment on the abhorrent connection issues in this game, but after reading the comments on just this post I realized how futile that would be.
:/ I uploaded both of them, here are the links:
Tyler- I found the songs, and it wasn’t easy! They were two songs I made in college I didn’t think they were good enough for the soundtrack. I’d still like to get to the bottom of the lag issue, but I’m mostly just relieved that Charlie Murder is 100 percentable. I do listen and am still ever grateful for your support.
To top it all off, there were literally months of non-work issues related to the title update process.
When Michelle thought the patched Achievement was still broken, she nearly had a nervous breakdown. Every change was sweated like no change has been sweated before.
There are a number of reasons behind this, and they probably all sound like excuses, but the bottom line is that a patch is a seriously delicate thing, and getting the Achievement fix in with netcode that still *sort of worked* seemed way safer than an Achievement fix with a massive netcode overhaul that could have broken the critical path, deleted your save files, and set your pool on fire. The netcode has improved for many, but it’s still far from great. There were a bunch of other fixes as well. The focus of the patch was the dumb Achievement bug. Possibility the anonymity can make people more aggressive, and that puts me off. it’s just that once the Internet gets involved, I get a bit terrified. If you’ve ever met me at PAX or something, you’ll know that I’m really happy to talk about our games, our direction, our problems, etc. Thanks for all the feedback! As Michelle indicated, I’m not too great at responding on the Internet. Then shoot me a friend request or game invite. If you want someone to play with who isn’t going to attack you for any reason nor use modded items & who isn’t going to rage quit 5 seconds after starting the game only to rejoin the same lobby & pick the same character. What a great game this could of been….Īnyone who agrees or disagrees I don’t care. Never in my life have I ever seen a great game so poorly managed & left to rot with obviously red flags that are eminently destroying the game if it isn’t already completely destroyed. Keep one hit instantly killing them just to troll them because they find it amusing. Then they revive them only so they can kill them again because the developers fail to understand that a friendly fire setting in this game is not only very much desired but necessary unless you want to spend the very little time you have to play this game without lagging to hell getting killed every few seconds because some 12 year old wants to show off his redundant pathetic modded items as if no one else has them already or because they find it hilarious they wasted money on a game not play it as it was meant but instead cheat before they even play the game once legit only for the sole purpose of trying to grief others players who are playing legit. All they do from the moment they spawn is begin to attack their own teammates & instantly kill them with one hit. I’m having trouble understanding why the developers of this game just simply don’t care enough to fix it & prefer a bunch of 12 years old to take over the game with their modded items & ruin it for the small 0.01 percent that actually play legit.Įven if I said screw it I’ll play with the modders for the sake of not wasting a few hours trying to find legit players rather then playing the game at all. I spend more time looking for legit players & restarting the game because of lag then actually playing the game. The modded items should be the number 1 priority. Only way to fix the lag is to restart the game only for it to return within 10 to 15 minutes later again. When you finally find another player who isn’t modding then the very cheap poor hosted dedicated servers start lagging horribly. 1 out of every 1,000 are legit & the other 999 are all using modded items. Where’s the fun in running super fast, killing everything even the final boss in one hit, & can’t ever die? Defeats the whole purpose of playing the game to begin with. I find it rather pathetic people have to cheat in a game that requires no skill to play. If you are using any modded items don’t bother. My gamertag is “Tatt00ey” the O’s are zeros.
Anyone interested playing legit without using any mods add me.
